How to Wash and Condition Your Human Hair Wig

Washing your wig correctly keeps the hair soft, shiny, and long-lasting. Here is our recommended routine.

How often to wash

Every 8-12 wears, or roughly every 2-4 weeks with regular use, is sufficient. Over-washing can dry out the hair.

Step-by-step

1. Gently detangle before washing.
2. Wet the hair under lukewarm running water, letting water flow in the direction of the hair.
3. Apply a sulfate-free shampoo, working gently through mid-lengths and ends, avoid scrubbing the lace or knots.
4. Rinse thoroughly, then apply a nourishing conditioner, avoiding the root area.
5. Rinse again and gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel.

Drying

Air dry on a wig stand, away from direct heat or sunlight, until completely dry before styling.
